With a little help from my (friends) government

Since 1988 the BMZ sets aside money to support grass root activities of NGO`s in developing countries. This money is especially targeted for private organizations, who work voluntarily. Millions of people have benefited from these initiatives. The German NGO´s have to pay 25 % of the money while the government covers 75 % of it.

The only downside of this deal is the paperwork to be done to get the funding. But it is the tax payers money so it is in the interest of everybody to avoid the waste of public funds.

Last year we started to do the paperwork and now we are very grateful to tell, that we got the funding for 2016 to start with our eeem.org project in two villages in County Marsabit.
