In March we were back in Loiyangalani. We wanted to know how our Naning’oi women’s group is doing one year after completing the project (July 2016 – March 2017). Whenever we arrive in Loiyangalani after a 12-hour drive, we go to the village shop of Muriuki Kariuki to drink a “Stony” (a local ginger lemonade) for refreshment. As we paid, he said that the Kiwanja women – thanks to our digital project – would now do better business. They could even write their own orders and they would have more than doubled it, so he too would benefit.
